Menaye Donkor, wife of Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has acquired the franchise to organize Miss Universe-Ghana.
The former beauty queen told Bola Ray on Starr Chat on Wednesday June 7, 2017 that she is excited having the chance to rebrand the event and will have the opportunity to feature and talk about Ghana’s culture to the rest of the world.
“The title Miss Universe Ghana has always been a part of my brand and after representing Ghana I have had that touch and after Miss Universe pageant in 2004 I still kept in touch with organizers in New York and they were following everything I was doing since then till now so it so happen that the license was available, we had a meeting and I acquired it,” Menaye said.
Now under the management of Menaye Donkor’s MALZ Promotions, the event (which has been held since 1991) has seen several of the contestants/titleholders cultivate their personal career goals and advocate for humanitarian issues with careers in government, business, finance, broadcasting, and film and television.
Miss Universe Ghana Organization will begin accepting applications towards the competition which will take place on 2nd September in Accra.
Interested Ghanaian women living in Ghana and abroad may enter to participate in Miss Universe Ghana at the official website www.missuniverseghanaorg.com beginning June 1st.
The Titleholder will go on to represent Ghana at the 2017/2018 Miss Universe Pageant.
