Ghanaian American artiste Amaarae and rising Ghanaian artiste Moliy have addressed issues with regard to revenue from their ‘Sad Girlz Luv Money’ song.
But apparently, whilst the song was gracing the billboard list and amassing lots of streams, behind the scenes management of Moliy and Amaarae had some misunderstanding with regards to revenue from the music, amongst other issues.
The link-up between two very powerful ladies was awesome and it reflected in how viral the song went but it turns out both artists and their management had some misunderstanding concerning the hit song.
According to Amaarae, Moliy is credited as a featured artist on both songs meaning she can earn her mechanical royalties.
Amaarae took to Twitter to explain what really was going on moments after Moliy also addressed the issue.
On her Twitter, Amaarae posted, “She is credited as a featured artist on both songs meaning she can earn her mechanical royalties. As far as the removal of the main artist on the remix on Spotify this was done after we saw she was not promoting the remix at all until a few weeks into when the TikTok campaign blew.”

In a series of tweets, she added, “this is my only and final say. I will not go back and forth on this matter on social media. It’s childish and the allegations are completely skewed.”
