The Western Regional Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old farmer, Emmanuel Kwofie, who was captured in a viral video assaulting a woman identified as Diana Mensan, 20.

According to a police statement dated October 13, 2026, the suspect was arrested by the Agona Nkwanta District Police Command at about 7:00 p.m. on October 12 at Agona Nkwanta in the Western Region.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect, a native of Dixcove, is married to the victim, who sells second-hand clothing. The couple reportedly live together at Domeabra in the Agona Nkwanta Municipality.
