The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Eric Adjei, Esq., has through his lawyers, issued a strong demand to the management of the Daybreak newspaper to retract what he describes as false and malicious publications against his person.
In a formal letter dated November 11, 2025, Mr. Adjei’s legal representatives cited two Daybreak publications; the November 4 edition titled “Is Eric Adjei in Charge of NEIP?” and the November 11 edition titled “Coming Up: Visa Racketeering Scandal Hits NEIP.”
According to the letter, the publications are “false, malicious, and calculated to tarnish” the CEO’s reputation, portraying him as dishonest and unfit to hold public office.
The lawyers emphasized that Mr. Adjei has never been involved in any form of visa racketeering or related misconduct. They argue that the articles have subjected their client to “public odium, contempt, and ridicule,” causing significant harm to his reputation and credibility.

The legal team has therefore given the newspaper forty-eight hours to:
- Publish a full and unequivocal retraction and apology in its next print edition and on all online platforms;
- Remove the offending stories from its website, social media pages, and digital archives; and
- Provide a written undertaking to cease further publication of any defamatory statements about Mr. Adjei.
The letter further warns that failure to comply will result in legal action seeking injunctions and damages; including general, aggravated, and exemplary compensation.
The lawyers concluded by stating that all of Mr. Adjei’s rights remain fully reserved.
