The Nobel International Business School (NIBS) has launched an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Programme, the first in the world.

NIBS is the first business school in the world to start programs with doctorates.
NIBS is a new, private boutique business school in Ghana. It was founded to make a difference with a new kind of educational model designed to meet the needs of executives, employees and employers in West Africa.

NIB’s EMBA is the first in incorporating CEO Forum. It is also the first EMBA with Eminent CEO Fellowship Program to help unleash CEO potential, ‘teaching Company’ partners to assess student Performance, Corporate Performance Seal to attest to the quality of student work and first EMBA to offer 24/7 Research assistance and support for students

President of NIBS, Professor Kwaku Atenehene-Gima explained that “executives in Africa who make major business decisions in the day to day running of companies have to make those decisions based on evidence.” He added that “in order to get that evidence, he/she needs to have a doctorate and that’s why the program is very essential.”

Professor Atenehene-Gima who is ranked the world’s No. 2 Innovation Scholar stressed that “Bad decisions can be very costly, not only to the business and the workers but also to the nation and you can only avoid making bad decisions if you have evidence to make that decision. And to get that evidence you need to have the skills to do research to reach that evidence.”

NIBS uses ‘Project Based Discovery Learning Approach’ to business, students are equipped with the skills needed for the real market situation. Professor Atenehene-Gima believes that through this, Ghana will feel the impact of numerous business schools in the country.

The School has three big industry players to mentor the students – Kofi Amoabeng (a Ghanaian business person. He is the founder and chief executive officer of UT Bank and the president of its parent, UT Holdings), Nana Sackey (Managing Partner at Deloitte Ghana) and Nouhad Kalmoni (Managing Director of Silver Star Auto Limited.)
