A full state burial service is currently ongoing at the forecourt of the State House in Accra for Major Maxwell Adam Mahama who was murdered gruesomely a week ago by some residents of Denkyira Obuasi in the Central region.
Major Mahama’s remains would be laid to rest at the Osu Military Cemetary after the burial service, followed by the final funeral rites at the Forecourt of the State House.
Numerous tributes have poured from friends families and sympathizers in for the fallen soldier.
Among dignitaries attending the burial service includes former President John Agyekum Kufuor, John Mahama, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Speaker of Parliament, Professor Mike Oquaye, Ministers of state among others.
Thanksgiving service will be held at Light House Chapel International, Qodesh, North Kaneshie-Accra on Sunday 11th June at 10:30am while the final funeral rites will be held at Bole from, 13th – 15th June 2017 and Tumu from 16th – 18th June 2017 respectively.
