QNET unveils new global and African leadership team to drive next phase of growth

QNET has unveiled a strengthened global and regional leadership team as part of a broader strategy focused on product innovation, technology, customer experience and responsible growth, with expanded leadership across Africa.

QNET, a global lifestyle and wellness company operating through a direct-selling business model, has announced changes to its global and regional leadership structure as it seeks to drive growth through product innovation, technology and improved customer experience.

The company said the strengthened leadership team will focus on modernising its business, expanding its product portfolio, enhancing the experience of customers and Independent Distributors, and responding to developments in technology, artificial intelligence and changing consumer expectations.

The new global leadership team includes Mattias Mildenborn as Chief Executive Officer, Elena Khoo as Chief Marketing Officer, Peter Luk as Chief Financial Officer, and Ben Bredenkamp as Group Chief Information Officer.

Mildenborn brings more than two decades of experience in sales, marketing and executive leadership in the direct-selling industry, while Khoo has held consumer marketing roles across global FMCG, beauty and luxury brands, including L’Oréal, LVMH, Shiseido and Tupperware.

Luk brings more than 30 years of financial and commercial leadership experience, including with Herbalife and Avon, while Bredenkamp, whose previous experience includes Herbalife and Mercedes-Benz, will lead QNET’s technology transformation and responsible integration of artificial intelligence across the business.

Kuna Senathirajah, Group Managing Director of QI Group, QNET’s parent company, said the new leadership brings together industry knowledge, consumer experience and transformation capabilities to shape the company’s next phase.

“Our ambition is to create a QNET that understands the expectations of the next generation, delivers exceptional products and experiences, and equips our Independent Distributors with the knowledge, technology and support they need to build responsible and sustainable businesses,” he said.

QNET strengthens leadership across Africa

As part of the transformation, QNET has also appointed two Regional General Managers to oversee its African operations.

Cherif Sarr has been appointed Regional General Manager for Central and West Africa, while Jared Thwaits will serve as Regional General Manager for East and Southern Africa.

The two executives will oversee growth, market development and responsible business practices across their respective regions, with the company saying the appointments are intended to bring senior decision-making closer to customers, Independent Distributors and other stakeholders.

“Africa is an important part of QNET’s future, and sustainable growth requires leadership that understands the opportunities and realities of individual markets,” Senathirajah said.

Across Africa, QNET said it will increase its focus on customer experience, distributor education and onboarding, compliance, consumer awareness, digital capabilities, and the introduction of new wellness and personal-care products.

Sarr said the company would also focus on strengthening engagement with regulators, media, consumer groups and other stakeholders.

“Growth must be accompanied by better education, stronger compliance and a clearer understanding of how legitimate direct selling works,” he said.

Company to revamp distributor training

QNET also announced changes to its distributor education programme as part of the broader transformation.

The V, QNET’s sister company and its network training and leadership-development arm, has appointed Sharad Choudhary as Head of Training and Events.

Choudhary, who joins from Modicare in India and previously worked with Amway, will oversee efforts to revamp distributor onboarding, product and business education, compliance training and structured learning pathways.

In Africa, the training framework will emphasise product knowledge, ethical business-building, accurate representation of the QNET opportunity, consumer protection and compliance.

QNET said its wider strategy will centre on four priorities: product innovation, customer experience, distributor capability and technology-enabled growth.

The company plans to develop wellness and personal-care products aligned with changing consumer needs, improve digital tools and services, use data and artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency, modernise distributor education and onboarding, and strengthen governance, transparency and responsible business practices.

QNET CEO Mattias Mildenborn said the company’s transformation would build on its existing global presence while adapting to the expectations of a new generation of entrepreneurs.

“The next generation of entrepreneurs expects intuitive technology, relevant products, authentic communication, high-quality education and a company whose values are reflected in how it operates,” he said.

“Our goal is to help shape the future of direct selling through product innovation, customer experience, distributor capability and technology-enabled growth.”
