Intercity STC Coaches Limited (ISTC) has dismissed reports suggesting it has increased transport fares, assuring passengers that its pricing remains unchanged.
In a statement dated Thursday April 9, 2026, and signed by Managing Director, Al-Hassan Ligbi, the company stressed that it continues to operate in line with directives from the Ministry of Transport and only adjusts fares when officially approved.
“The Management… wishes to inform our cherished passengers and the general public that our fares have not been changed as of today, April 9, 2026,” the statement said.
It further urged the public to disregard claims of any upward review, reiterating its commitment to transparency and customer service.
“We therefore urge the public to disregard any rumours suggesting that ISTC Coaches Limited has increased its fares,” the release added.
The clarification comes in the wake of recent fare adjustment announcements by private transport operators, including VIP Jeoun Transport Services, which cited rising operational costs for the increment.
However, ISTC maintains that it will only review its fares in accordance with regulatory approvals, thanking passengers for their continued trust and patronage.
