NPP National Youth Organizer hopeful Vera Oye Bram-Larbi has rated the government’s performance on policy implementation and development as “F”, citing what she describes as inadequate progress on key infrastructure projects.
Speaking to Isaac Addae on Morning Starr on Starr FM, Vera Oye Bram-Larbi said while she could acknowledge some achievements, she could not give the government an average rating when it comes to policy implementation and development.
“Policy implementation is F, zero. Development, F zero,” she stated.
She challenged the government to point to major development projects that justify a higher assessment, questioning whether its Big Push agenda had translated into tangible results.
“Have you not seen the Big Push agenda?” she asked, before questioning whether the initiative was a reality or merely an announcement.
Vera Oye Bram-Larbi subsequently directed attention to the Western Region, particularly Takoradi, arguing that the area requires urgent attention to its infrastructure needs.
“If the government wants me to give them five, they should go to Western Region and develop Takoradi for us,” she said.
She cited the Market Circle project in Takoradi, which she said was about 90 percent complete, and called for its completion.
“We have Market Circle almost done, 90 percent complete. They should complete Market Circle for us in Takoradi,” she added.
She also called for improvements to road infrastructure in the region, including the road linking Agona Nkwanta to the Takoradi Roundabout.
According to her, the condition of roads in the region remains a major concern for motorists and requires urgent government attention.
