Watch: The Weeknd, Shakira, Tyla, Ayra Starr, others to perform at The Global Citizen Festival on September 27

The 2025 Global Citizen Festival will be streamed live around the world on Saturday, September 27th on YouTube, Apple Music and the Apple TV app, the Amazon Music En Vivo channel on Twitch, the Amazon Live FAST channel on Prime Video and FireTV, Brut, ditu, iHeartRadio, Mediacorp, Veeps, ViX, VIZIO WatchFree+, the Global Citizen website and app, and broadcast theatrically in India with PVR INOX Cinemas on Sunday, September 28th.

 The Global Citizen Festival is presented by Cisco. Major Partners are Authentic Brands Group, Bridgewater Associates, Delta Air Lines, PayPal and Venmo, and P&G; Production Partner Live Nation; Exclusive U.S. Audio Partner iHeartMedia; and Location Partner New York City Parks. The 2025 Global Citizen Festival is produced by Emmy Award-winning production companies Done+Dusted and Diversified Production Services.

The 2025 Global Citizen Festival will broadcast to the world live from Central Park’s Great Lawn on September 27th, where the world’s biggest artists and entertainers will lead calls for an end to extreme poverty, along with advocates, philanthropists, and 60,000 dedicated global citizens.

This year’s Global Citizen Festival will be headlined by The Weeknd and Shakira, with performances by Tyla, Ayra Starr, Mariah the Scientist, and Camilo. The Festival will be hosted by Global Citizen Ambassador Hugh Jackman and co-hosts Bill Nye, Adam Lambert, Danai Gurira, and Liza Koshy.

Other participants include Kristen Bell, Tony Goldwyn, Laurie Hernandez, Vladimir Duthiers, Lydia Kekeli Amenyaglo, Fy Rajaonarivelo, Esther Kimani, Omowumi Ogunrotimi, Valeriia Rachynska, and Taily Terena. Solstice Unites will open the FINAL

Global Citizen Festival with a historic Global Powwow to honour the land and the ancestral stewards of the grounds, and a special performance from the women-led Samba reggae marching band Fogo Azul. HOW TO GET TICKETS: The 2025 Global Citizen Festival campaign is mobilizing $200 million to protect 30 million hectares of the Amazon rainforest, expanding access to quality education and football for 30,000 children around the world in partnership with FIFA, providing energy access for 1 million people across Africa.

 Tickets to the Global Citizen Festival are free and can be earned by taking action on these campaign goals on the Global Citizen app or website. Additionally, this year’s Festival campaign is engaging hundreds of New York residents to volunteer across the city. On September 19th, Global Citizen will organize a beach cleanup at Canarsie Pier, in partnership with the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy, with support from Goodera and in collaboration with the Black Surfing Association East Coast Chapter, to defend the planet and protect New York City’s coastline.

All participants will earn a ticket to the 2025 Global Citizen Festival. Register to volunteer at globalcitizen.org/en/involved/volunteering. This year’s responsibly sourced collection includes exclusive collaborations with The Weeknd, Shakira, Arya Starr, Mariah the Scientist, Camilo, Aviator Nation, Champion and more. Water Bottles Attendees are encouraged to bring a reusable plastic water bottle, and visit water refill stations around the festival site.

 Sustainability This will be the most sustainable Global Citizen Festival yet: ● Battery power: The festival’s main stage will be completely powered by the same SmartGrid battery system used to power Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres’ world tour, with the support of Coldplay, in partnership with CES Power. ● Indigenous Trees for Central Park: The festival site will include a variety of indigenous tree saplings. After the show, all of these trees will be donated to the Central Park Conservancy. ● All Vegetarian and Vegan Menu: Global Citizen Festival is 100% vegetarian, with an increased range of vegan options also available.

● Plastic-Free Concessions: The event will provide compostable packaging and utensils for all concessions. ● Minimizing Food Waste: All eligible excess food will be donated to local organizations including RePlate and Friendly Fridge BX to minimize food waste and ensure all eligible food is able to reach people in need. ● Can Donation: All aluminum cans discarded at the festival will be donated, with excess going to Sure We Can a non-profit recycling center, community space and sustainability hub in Brooklyn.
