A high-power delegation led by the National Security Minister Albert Kan Dapaah is currently meeting the Volta regional house of chiefs as government seeks to address emergency security threats in the region.

The delegation is in the region in response to the recent attacks carried out by members of the separatist group who are seeking to declare an independent Western Togoland.

Starr News’ Volta regional correspondent Faisel Abdul-Iddrisu reports other government officials present in the closed door meeting include Interior Minister Ambrose Dery, Deputy Information Minister Pius Enam Hadzide, Volta Regional Minister Dr Archibald Letsa and his Deputy Rev Pastor Johnson Avuletey,

Others are Religious Affairs and Chieftaincy Minister Kofi Dzamesi, the military hierarchy as well as security agencies across the country.

The delegation will also meet the NDC Volta caucus MPS and subsequently brief the media.
