The 2022 Women in Agribusiness have been launched to celebrate thirty-Five exceptional women in the Agribusiness community.

According to the organizers, the awards focus on solutions that have not only impacted women and companies but also helped achieve business success.

Speaking at the launch, the Programmes Coordinator for Women in Agribusiness week, Akosua Duah explains that the theme for this year’s awards “Revitalizing partnership for Sustainable Agribusiness development” is to encourage and attract more women into the agricultural sectors.

“At Guzakuza, we believe that women are doing a lot, especially when it comes to agribusiness. That is why for the past year, we have been running an awards scheme to highlight and celebrate the achievements of exceptional women in the agribusiness community who have gone above and beyond and led the way forward for others to follow,” she added.

She revealed that the awards also look at solutions that have not only improved the company landscape but have helped achieve business success.

She reiterates “last year, five women who are leaders in the African agribusiness were awarded for their achievements in Agtech Innovation, Covid-19 agribusiness resilience, Dare to defy, sustainable Green innovation and the role model excellence.

We have new and revised categories this year to appeal to a wider range of trailblazers from the various points of the agri value chain and network. Today, We are unveiling 35 categories.”

The Women in Agribusiness Awards is part of a week-long celebration which starts from October 24 to October 29 in Greater Accra, Ashanti and Northern regions.
