Majority of Ghana fans appear to have given up on the Black Stars qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The Black Stars are now 3rd placed in Group E with a point after two rounds of matches, while Egypt is on top of the standings with six points.

While the Cranes of Uganda are second with four points, Congo with no points.

According to a random survey conducted by Starr Sports, 43% of Black Stars fans have lost confidence in the team reaching qualifying for Russia 2018 after they slumped to a 2-0 loss in Egypt at the weekend.

However, 27% of the fans said it will be tough but possible to qualify because they hoped Egypt will slip in the qualifiers after winning their first two matches.

Another 20% said Ghana are often at their best when they have their backs against the wall and so they could still bounce back to advance to the next World Cup.

With 10% believing in ‘anything can happen’ adage, saying Africa football is not predictable when it comes to World Cup finalists.
