GN bank has asked it customers to remain calm following the invasion of one of its branch near Potsin on the Accra-Winneba highway by armed robbers, assuring them that there was no cause for panic.
In a statement it issued Friday, the bank said the police had since mounted a serious search for the robbers with the help of the bank’s surveillance system which provided “valuable information for the police to use.”
“We want to inform our customers and the general public that the branch is carrying on with normal daily business. In fact every deposit at the branch is safe and intact,” the statement added.
It further observed that the banks security had been been strengthened to guarantee the safety of its staff, customers and deposits, adding: “GN bank re-assures the general public that the situation is firmly under control.”
