Sarkodie to speak at 2017 Africa Dialogues conference

Influential Ghanaian Rapper Sarkodie is scheduled to speak at the Africa Dialogues Conference scheduled for Saturday June 3, 2017, at the International Conference Center, Accra from 9am to 3pm.

The “Gbozaa” hitmaker is among 18 other speakers slated for brand new thought-leadership event.

Themed “Dreams We Dare Not,” the 2017 inaugural Africa Dialogues conference will feature powerful and change-making Africans drawn from diverse backgrounds who will speak on issues relevant to Africa’s achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and Africa Union’s Agenda 2063; on governance and human rights, education, youth unemployment, infrastructure, public health, gender, income inequality, African economies, and urban development.

The line-up includes policy makers, innovative business leaders, accomplished academics, civil society leaders and distinguished individuals from Africa, to dialogue on Africa’s future.

On the uniqueness of the event, Cynthia Ofori-Dwumfuo, Head of Communications and External Relations for Africa Dialogues said, “June 3rd presents an exclusive gathering of Africans raising awareness about the challenges facing Africa by highlighting innovative thinking and promoting those working to positively impact Africa. Africa Dialogues converges under impactful thought-leadership and our speakers will reveal insights on their distinctive “African accomplishments”.

Africa Dialogues’ inaugural batch of speakers include”

Anthonia Amuzie, of Happy People Project; entrepreneur, writer and humanitarian, Mo Issa; Constance Swaniker, renowned Ghanaian Sculptor, Emmanuel Awumee, Car Care Consultant and CEO of SESIL Consult Limited; Anthropologist, Sarah Begum; Dr. Paul Djane-Aidoo, a clinician; MamiSerwaa Amoakohene, CEO of 3Ps; Alipt Sanam Hari, Sports Psychologist; Aisha Addo, Founder of Power to Girls Foundation; Josephine Marie Godwyll, Founder of World at Heart Ghana; Dziffa Akua Ametam, founder of Dziffa.com; Ayesha Bedwei, Tax Consultant; Cecil Senna Nutakor, CEO of Equinox Intercom ltd;  Prosper Tornyi, Founder of Prowrites  Foundation; Godwin Mawunyo Addo, CEO of Gradsoft Technologies Ghana; artist and entrepreneur, Sarkodie; Freda Obeng Ampofo, Regional Program Specialist for USAID West Africa; Lesibane, Creative Director; Ekow Mensah, CEO of The African Network of Entrepreneurs; Solomon Narh, Singer, songwriter and performer; Philip Oti Mensah, Managing Director, OmniBank, Kwame A.A Opoku and Barimah Amoaning Samuel, Radio Presenter and Celebrity Blogger; Yasmin Kumi, Managing Director Africa Foresight Group and Portia Mamavi Selenu Goh, A young journalist, blogger and Social media enthusiast.

Ms. Ofori-Dwumfuo said the event, will be held at the Accra International Conference Center from 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday, June 3rd.
