At least three people have been confirmed dead after they were shot in a chieftaincy dispute at Pai Katanga near Nkwanta in the Oti region, Starr News has gathered.
According to a local reporter, Raymond Azangidi, the deceased were part of six people who sustained gunshot wounds as a result of the melee between the two rival factions Saturday afternoon. They were confirmed dead at the Worawora government hospital.
The police have taken charge of the area and calm has been restored.
