Inter Allies coach Felix Aboagye has tipped Hearts of Oak player Daniel Afriyie Barnie to win the best player of the season accolade at the end of the season. His comments come in the wake of great performances churned out by the Hearts of Oak attacker which has seen them inch closer to breaking an eleven year old jinx of not having won the domestic league title.

Afriyie Barnie early this year led the Black Satellites to conquer Africa at the Africa under 20 Championship in Mauritania and has scored some important goals which has aided the Phobians in the league campaign. Speaking to Starr FM Sports, the former Black Stars striker Felix Aboagye said Afriyie Barnie has been exceptional to win the most valuable player of the season award and he will be a great asset for the country in the future.

“I think Barnie of Hearts of Oak has been exceptional , scoring important goals for them and he has also been able to carry the team in difficult times so I think he stands out this season to win the best player accolade”

“Without him, I don’t think Hearts of Oak will be where they are now though it’s a collective effort but he has been incredible this season for them and I think he is indeed one for the future and we need to keep our eyes on him” Felix Aboagye told Starr Sports.
