The President was hopeful that with the establishment of the AfCFTA the company will spread its tentacles to the whole of Africa .”

The company as we have been told exports 70% of its produce to the ECOWAS market of West Africa and with African Continental free Trade Area I have no doubt the company will expand its tentacles to the whole of Africa “He further noted that this as an attestation of governments supports to the private sector.

“Governments association with Keda Company is attestant to the fact that government to partner any company that is ready to expand it company and offer jobs to our young people , we are doing so with no discrimination, Ghanaian or foreign so long are you are prepared to work you will have the support of government“.

On his part, the chairman of Keda group Shen Yang Chang was appreciative of governments support in establishing the previous phases of the company.

He said the commissioning of phase 3 and sod cut of phase 4 marks an important milestone in the local ceramic manufacturing industry. This he says has been made possible by the friendly business policy of the government of Ghana. He further noted that they are on course in making Ghana the industrial hub of Africa. He said the completion of phase four would increase the production capacity of the company to 15000 square meters per day and additional 1000 jobs which will eventually generate more foreign exchange.

He revealed that beyond their expansion the company is investing in the latest technology to ensure quality is not compromised in any way to ensure that their products are of the highest quality to meet their market demand.

Mr Shen Yang Chang further informed the President that the company will in the coming year start the construction of a sanitary ware company which will be the best in the West African sub-region.
