It’s already match day 4 in the only league that matters, the Ghana Premier league and while some teams look to find their feet, others are also pressing on to continue in a positive way.
Former champions, Berekum Chelsea are hoping to get their first win of the campaign this afternoon after fetching a single point in their first three games.
However, they will have to do that against a good looking King Faisal side, which has already tamed two former champions in Aduana Stars and Ashanti Gold.
King Faisal is the only side alongside Kotoko who are yet to drop points in this season’s Ghana Premier League. After beating WAFA in their league opener by a lone goal, they did it even better against Aduana and AshGold and a struggling Berekum Chelsea side would have to expect another daunting task at the Golden City Park today at 3pm.
On Saturday, November 20, newly promoted side, Real Tamale United will visit Aduana Stars with the aim of recording a positive result after managing a win against West Africa Foot Academy.
This season’s top scorer David Abagna will be on the verge of increasing his tally of five goals but Aduana Stars after managing a draw with Accra Hearts of Oak are poised to claim the three maximum points at home.
At the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be angling for their fourth consecutive win against a struggling Eleven wonders team who are yet to win a game.
Kotoko’s magnificent form has been spearheaded by starlet Isaac Oppong, who has played a part in all the 6 goals the Porcupines have scored so far.
On Sunday, AhantiGold will welcome defending champions Accra Hearts of Oak at the the Len Clay stadium in a battle of former champions. Accra Hearts of Oak are still winless and AshantiGold appears to be a more difficult nut to crack. The Aboakese lads have parted ways with Coach Ernest Thompson Quartey despite accumulating more points than Hearts.
The game will be kick off at exactly 3pm on Sunday.
In other fixtures, Medeama SC, also after firing their coach, Ignatius Osei Fosu, will continue their search for the first victory against Karela United at the Akoon Park.
At the Sogakope Red Bull Arena, West Africa Football Academy will welcome Legon Cities Football club while Accra Great Olympics in Accra will clash with Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Elmina Sharks will also face Bibiani Gold Stars at the Nduom Sports Complex.
