Ghana’s biggest furniture and décor retail company, Orca Deco (Ghana) Limited, has signed up to support all of its employees with a one-off lump sum payment of CHS 1,000.
In an internal communication signed by the CEO of Orca Décor, Rayan Sharara, the retail super-store said the financial support would cushion employees against the harsh economic situation.
The company admitted that the unstable and unpredictable economic turbulence in Ghana since the beginning of 2022 has brought significant challenges to the business.
From the letter, the CEO and the shareholders shared that, “These are very uncertain times and every one of us is being negatively affected. But what has made us strong and resilient for the past 20 years is our togetherness and sense of family. We are and will always be here for each other. In the good days and the bad days. “
He added , “I am pleased to inform you that all employees will receive a one-off lump sum payment of CHS 1,000.”
The company, in July 2022, approved a salary increment for all its employees.
