The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin has called on Ghana’s National Team, Black Stars to make Africa proud with their encounter with Portugal on November 24, 2022 in Qatar.
According to him, the Black Stars owe the Africa continent a responsibility in the Qatar 2022 tournament.
“You are not just the Black Stars of Ghana, but the Black Stars of Africa. As you jog onto the pitch for your first game of Qatar 2022, the blast of the first whistle to the last will sandwich the thunderous roar of Africans across the world, cheering you on to victory.
“The World Cup in its early days needs a loud African statement. Only a resounding victory over Portugal will uplift the spirit of Africa in this tournament,” Mr. Bagbin stated.
He continued: “Let’s tell the world that Africa is in Qatar to compete. You owe Africa that responsibility. Go Black Stars.”
