Creative personality and outspoken NPP supporter, KOKA, is calling on the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to investigate Ghanaian rapper Chris Waddle, questioning the source of his wealth and high-end lifestyle.
Speaking on Starr Showbiz with Feeling Daddy on Starr 103.5FM on Saturday, June 21, KOKA claimed his call was triggered by what he described as repeated online attacks from the rapper, not only directed at him personally, but also at former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
“Chris Waddle has become a social commentator. He publicly ridiculed Nana Addo, his governance and his things. Early this year, twice, Chris Waddle has attacked me and insulted me on Twitter. And today if FBI is in Ghana investigating people; and me; I am questioning your wealth because you did music. The music cannot give you the amount of money you have and the cars you drive,” KOKA said.
He added that he would formally petition the American Embassy to look into the rapper’s financial dealings.
“And I’m saying, till I rest, I will make noise. I’m going to write to the American Embassy. I will make noise till they get to his turn. I want him to know that you don’t determine who to fight. And then in fight, there is no formula. Wherever the FBI is – if they don’t arrest him – then the ones they’ve arrested, I question it. Was he fair to my government? Was he fair to my personality? No. So nobody should question me about it.”
Chris Waddle, known both for his music career and entrepreneurial ventures, is yet to respond to the claims.
KOKA’s remarks have sparked widespread debate on social media, with many questioning the political motivations behind his accusations.
The comments come at a time when the FBI is reportedly assisting Ghanaian authorities in efforts to tackle financial and cybercrime.
