Member of Parliament for Akropong constituency, Sammy Awuku, has described the 2024 general elections as a choice between optimism and despair.
Speaking at a rally in Legon, Awuku emphasised that the election is not about fake promises, asserting that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has no viable offerings.
Mr. Awuku urged citizens to vote wisely, saying the election is about their future, referencing initiatives like free SHS, job creation, and economic empowerment.
He cautioned against being swayed by false promises, encouraging Ghanaians to prioritise their destiny.
He said, “The election before us is an election between hope and hopelessness. It’s a contest between the future and the past. The election before us is a destiny vote. The free SHS, job creation, and money in the pockets of the youths are number one on the ballot paper.”
“Don’t play with your destiny, vote wisely. This election is not about a fake promise of offering you three chicks or running shifts at a nightclub, no, not at all. This election is about your future.”
