Member of Parliament-elect for Sunyani East in the Bono Region, Seid Mubarak has expressed strong confidence in the party’s ability to retain the seat for the next 24 years,
According to him, the plan can be possible through its commitment to delivering its manifesto promises of sustainable development and addressing the needs of Ghanaians.
Seid who won the seat for the first time for the NDC said the party’s infrastructure track record and its vision for long-term national transformation will secure the NDC’s dominance in the area for decades to come.
Speaking in an interview with GHOne News on the sidelines of the “57% Health Walk” in Accra, Seid Mubarak is optimistic the electorate will fall for the NDC if the incoming administration is able to deliver on its promise of a Regional Stadium, modernized market, and improved road infrastructure.
However, the MP-elect cited development as the main need of the people of Sunyani. “The only thing we need in Sunyani is development that is, we don’t have a modernized market, we don’t have a sports stadium, our roads are very bad and the youth unemployment was the good message I sent to the good people of Sunyani, and the message resonated with them”, he said.
These demands he says, when met will keep the NDC in power for at least 24 years “Now the expectations from my people are very high, if the government takes full gear, I’m trying to see that I can give them what I told them.”
The NDC’s 24hour economy policy, the apprenticeship program are some of the policies Mubarak thinks will help the incoming government to fulfill their promises of job creation.
“Inshallah, on 7th January, after we’ve declared John Dramani Mahama as the president, all things that he said, with the 24-hour economy, the apprenticeship program, good willing Ghanaians will see what the NDC will do. And I know and believe that God will make the NDC be on this seat for at least 24 years”, he added.
