The Minister for Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to addressing the concerns of the 2020 batch of trained nurses who are yet to be posted.
During a meeting with the group’s executive members on Wednesday, July 9, the Minister acknowledged their frustrations over the prolonged delay in deployment and expressed empathy for the personal and professional challenges they have endured.
Hon. Akandoh assured the nurses that the Ministry is actively engaging with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Finance, to secure the necessary financial clearance for their posting.
“The Ministry values the contribution of every trained health professional to the development of our healthcare system. We are working tirelessly to ensure that every trained nurse is posted,” he stated.
The visit forms part of ongoing efforts by the Ministry to address posting delays and strengthen Ghana’s healthcare delivery system.
