The Kuburah Diamonds Foundation is set to host its first-ever Intentional Women Conference in Tamale, an event aimed at empowering young girls and women with the tools, confidence, and inspiration to pursue purposeful and economically independent futures.

Scheduled for Thursday, December 4, 2025, the half-day conference will take place at Red Clay Studios from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Themed “Educate, Empower, Trailblaze,” the gathering is designed to spark ambition and strengthen the capacity of young women across northern Ghana.

The conference is an initiative of Adiza Ibrahim, also known as Kuburah Diamonds, a multiple award-winning humanitarian and Integrated Marketing Communications professional. Ibrahim, who currently serves as Head of Marketing and Media Relations at Electroland Ghana Limited, said the event was inspired by her 2024 motivational book Hey, Diamond! Becoming an Intentional Young Lady, and aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and vocational success.

She noted that engagements in the region earlier this year reaffirmed the need for intentional mentorship. “This conference has been deliberately designed to put attendees in direct contact with intentional trailblazers. We want to spark that confidence in them to stay grounded in their inspirations as well as to break new ground,” she said.

The conference will feature influential speakers whose achievements span aviation, entrepreneurship, climate action, digital innovation and the culinary arts. They include:

  • Executive Chef Faila, known for her historic Guinness World Record Cook-a-thon attempt, on “Beyond the Cook-A-Thon: Intentionally Building a High-Profile Career.”
  • Chef Khadija Yussif (Chef Dee) on cultivating talent with purpose.
  • Iddrisu Khadijah, a private pilot, speaking on intentional education and navigating male-dominated industries.
  • Nihad Titiaka, 2024 Ghana’s Most Beautiful winner and social entrepreneur, highlighting the link between climate action and enterprise.
  • Humu-Hani Adam, Founder of Assistance Lab, on building digitally driven enterprises.

Hajia Alima Sagito Saeed, Executive Director of the Savannah Women Integrated Development Agency (SWIDA), will serve as Special Guest of Honour.

More than 500 students from six senior high schools; including Tamale SHS, Kalipohili SHS, Northern School of Business, Nuriya Islamic SHS, Nanton SHS and Islamic SHS, are expected to attend.

The Kuburah Diamonds Foundation, established in 2020, works to equip girls and women, particularly in Zongo communities, with practical skills and welfare support. The organisation believes that investing in women strengthens families and contributes to a more equitable society.

The Intentional Women Conference promises engaging discussions, mentorship opportunities and exposure to real-world career paths from some of Ghana’s most inspiring female leaders.
