A 22-year-old man has allegedly died by suicide after reportedly killing his girlfriend at Akyem Kade in the Kwaebibrem Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The two deceased persons (names withheld), were both found dead in a single room on Monday morning, February 2, 2026.
The young woman sustained severe head injuries.
The exact cause and circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be established.
The Ghana Police Service has since visited the scene and commenced investigations to unravel the facts of the case.
The bodies have been conveyed to the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The young woman survived by a three-year-old child.
