The Head of Public Events and Communications at Charterhouse Ghana, Robert Klah, has indicated that venue limitations for the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) will significantly impact attendance, ticket sales, and media access.
Speaking on Starr Showbiz with Feeling Daddy on Starr 103.5 FM on Saturday, April 18, 2026, Klah explained that while organizers will secure a venue for the event, they are yet to obtain a “preferred venue” that meets the production and logistical demands of the awards scheme.
He noted that the absence of such a venue will inevitably affect key aspects of the event’s execution.
“These things would impact the outcome,” he said. “The number of guests will reduce. The number of media accreditation will reduce… even tickets.”
Klah revealed that capacity constraints could force organizers to drastically cut down ticket sales compared to previous editions. “If we used to sell 500 tickets… I have to sell 200, or even 100. Because that’s the reality on the ground,” he stated.

According to him, priority would be given to artistes and their teams, leaving limited space for other guests and stakeholders.
“Obviously, the artistes have to be there. So artistes and their parties will have to be there… it is what it is,” he added.
Klah further highlighted that the lack of a suitable venue affects not only seating capacity but also logistical arrangements such as parking and accessibility, which are critical for large-scale events like the TGMA.

Despite the challenges, he assured that Charterhouse has contingency plans in place. “As an event house, you can’t go on this huge project without having your plan B and even C,” he said, adding that production quality would still be maintained.
“We will still have a superb show, because production will put in the best brains to deliver,” he noted.
