Africa’s music maestro and legendary highlife musician, Kojo Antwi, is expanding the global reach of his memoir with international launch events following its official unveiling in Ghana earlier this year.
The celebrated musician officially launched his memoir, Mr Music Man: The Journey, on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Labadi Beach Hotel. The book is now set for an international rollout, beginning with an event in Dortmund.
The Germany edition of the launch is scheduled for Sunday, May 17, 2026, and will be preceded by a live musical performance on Saturday, May 16, 2026, as part of activities to engage and entertain fans.
Dubbed Book Launch and Exclusive Meet & Greet, the event will take place at VDMA, Zur Vielfalt 21, 44147 Dortmund, starting at 16:30 hours.
In a social media post announcing the event, Kojo Antwi expressed excitement ahead of the performance and invited fans to share their favourite songs ahead of the concert.
“Dortmund, Germany, I’m excited to perform for you on the 16th of May. Comment your favourite songs below so my band and I prepare the Marathon of Love songs,” he wrote.
The post further added: “Book Launch with Meet & Greet on the 17th of May. Can’t wait to see you all.”
Back in Ghana, the memoir’s official launch attracted prominent personalities from the entertainment, political, and business sectors.
Representing President John Dramani Mahama at the ceremony, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah presented a special gift to Kojo Antwi in recognition of his immense contribution to Ghana’s music industry and cultural heritage.
The launch also featured tributes and goodwill messages, including a eulogy in honour of former President John Agyekum Kufuor, as well as remarks from business leaders who praised the musician’s enduring influence across generations.
Co-authored by George Essiaw, Mr Music Man: The Journey chronicles Kojo Antwi’s early life, his years performing in bands, and the experiences that shaped his musical career.
The memoir offers readers an intimate look into both the personal and professional journey of one of Africa’s most celebrated music icons.
