The Ministry of Transport has expressed its readiness to explore innovative and environmentally sustainable transport solutions.
This follows a courtesy call by a delegation from uScovery DMCC, a member of the Unitsky Group of Companies.
The delegation, led by the Chief Executive Officer, Oleg Zaretskiy, visited the Ministry to introduce the Unisky String Technology, an innovative transport concept developed by Unisky String Technologies Inc.
Mr. Zaretskiy briefed officials of the Ministry on the technology and its potential application in Ghana’s transport sector.
According to him, the system is designed to provide high-speed, cost-efficient and environmentally friendly mobility while offering an alternative approach to conventional transport infrastructure.
He highlighted the potential of the technology to contribute to the development of modern transport systems capable of meeting growing mobility demands while reducing the environmental impact associated with traditional modes of transportation.
Receiving the delegation, the Deputy Minister for Transport, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, welcomed the initiative and expressed the Ministry’s interest in understanding the technology and assessing its suitability for Ghana.
She assured the delegation that the Ministry would provide the necessary information and support to facilitate a proper feasibility analysis of the proposed technology.
Madam Affo-Toffey, who is also the Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region, noted that any potential collaboration would require careful assessment to determine the technical, economic and practical viability of the system within Ghana’s transport environment.
The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts by the Government to explore innovative approaches to transport development and modernise the country’s infrastructure.
The Ministry’s engagement with uScovery DMCC and the Unitsky Group of Companies is expected to provide an opportunity for further discussions on the technology, its potential applications and the requirements for conducting a comprehensive feasibility assessment.
The meeting also underscores the Government’s commitment to embracing environmentally friendly technologies and innovative solutions that could support efficient mobility and contribute to sustainable national development.
