The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that the Black Stars will set up camp in Casablanca this weekend ahead of their penultimate Group I qualifier for the 2026 FIFA World Cup against the Central African Republic.
According to the GFA, the technical team and home-based duo Benjamin Asare and Prince Owusu will fly out of Accra on Saturday to join the rest of the squad in Morocco.
Unlike previous gatherings, the players will not assemble in Accra before departure but will instead travel directly from their clubs to camp.
Coach Otto Addo is expected to have a full squad by Monday to step up preparations for the decisive encounter at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknes on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. The team is scheduled to hold three training sessions before the match.
Ghana currently top Group I with 19 points from eight games and need just four points from their last two fixtures to book a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
