Chef Abbys is set to lead a major community feeding initiative on October 16, 2026, as part of activities to mark World Food Day in Ghana.
Dubbed The Big Street Feast 2.0, the initiative will take place simultaneously in Accra and Kumasi, with organisers targeting more than 50,000 people.
According to the organisers, the event is aimed at using food and collective action to support communities and raise awareness about food insecurity.
The initiative has been described as the “Biggest Community Feeding Initiative in Ghana,” bringing together brands and partners to provide meals to members of the public as part of efforts to give hope and promote community support.
The organisers said the event is also intended to reinforce the message that no one should be left behind in the face of food insecurity.
They expressed appreciation to the participating partners, food brands, volunteers and other individuals and organisations whose contributions have helped make the initiative possible.
The Big Street Feast 2.0 forms part of the activities commemorating World Food Day, observed annually on October 16.
