In a remarkable demonstration of community spirit and collaboration, the Mantse Tackie Tawiah I Cluster of Schools in Adabraka has been completely transformed.

This extensive refurbishment project was fully funded by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in collaboration with the Ga Mantse Foundation, bringing new hope and a brighter future for the students of the community.

The project culminated in a grand commissioning ceremony, attended by dignitaries and community leaders, marking the realization of a vision set forth by His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse and President of the Ga Traditional Council.

The King’s vision for enhancing educational infrastructure was ignited on his 50th birthday when he pledged to renovate the school after witnessing its dilapidated state.

Elder S. Gifford Nielsen, Africa West Area President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, expressed profound joy at the project’s completion. “We are honored to support this vital initiative that will impact the lives of many children in this community.

Education is the cornerstone of a bright future, and we are committed to helping provide the resources needed for these children to succeed,” Elder Nielsen stated.

He emphasized the power of collaboration and community-driven initiatives, confident that the newly improved environment will lay the foundation for a brighter educational future in Adabraka.

The renovation project, which began with a sod-cutting ceremony on May 10, 2023, included the refurbishment of several key facilities. The school now boasts a state-of-the-art library with over 2,000 books, a modern ICT center with 40 computers, and upgraded classrooms. Additionally, new amenities such as an astro turf football pitch, a 60-seater spectator stand, a canteen, and improved sanitation facilities have been added, significantly enhancing the learning environment.

The project’s success was further lauded by Dr. Zanetor Rawlings, Member of Parliament for the Korle Klottey Constituency, who praised the collaborative efforts that made the renovation possible. “This project is a shining example of what can be achieved when communities and organizations come together with a shared vision,” she remarked.

King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II affirmed his ongoing commitment to improving education in the Ga State, expressing his aspirations for further development projects with the continued support of partners like The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
