Dealing with Monday morning Blues

You find yourself dreading Monday mornings after a long relaxing weekend. Monday morning blues are real for workers. You can help take out the sting by planning your mornings. Below are ways to deal with your Monday morning blues.

1.Don’t try to keep the weekend going. That is, go to bed early on Sunday night and make sure you ready yourself for the week ahead. You don’t want to start the week by feeling tired or drowsy

2.Find the issue. If you’re feeling down on Monday morning, it’s likely because you’re not a fan of your work. Take some time to think about what bothers you and find solutions to them to make your mornings better.

3.Adjust your attitude. Don’t look at work as a chore else you’ll continue to dread Mondays. Your problem with work may not be one that can be solved with any outside intervention. It may just take a change of heart on your end.

4.Look at your workload. If your workload has increased so much that you dread Monday mornings, talk to your boss to adjust what you’re doing. Be sure to do it in a polite way.
5.Take a look at your relationships. If you aren’t getting along with specific co-workers, ask yourself what the problem is. If you have a big issue co-worker, don’t be afraid to have a calm, sit-down chat with him or her about the issue.

6.Focus on what is good. Look at what you enjoy doing and focus on that. Don’t just look at what you need to do that you hate.

7.Look at your work environment. If your work environment makes you constantly upset because it’s hostile or you just don’t like your job, you may need to find yourself new employment where you can be happier.

8.Bring the fun with you. Surprise your co-workers with a freshly baked batch of cookies. Invite your co-workers out to lunch. Make your Mondays more enjoyable, and you’ll look forward to them more.

9.Check for declining interest in other parts of your life. If you can’t garner interest in any part of your life, that could be a sign of depression. Ask your doctor for more information.
10.Look ahead at the end of the week. Make sure not to leave loose ends undone on Friday afternoons. Take some time on Friday to tie up what needs done for the week, you won’t have it hanging over your head come Monday morning.
