Made in Ghana UK Festival 2022 is scheduled for East WinterGarden in London on 25th and 26th June, 2022.
Ahead of the Festival from 6th to 16th April 2022, Made in Ghana UK Festival, as part of its pre-events, will be presenting a series of Dance Master Class hosted by some of Ghana’s leading contemporary dance coaches- Dancegod Lloyd, Afrobeast and others of DWP Academy.
The 3-City Dance Masterclass in the UK this April, is scheudled as follows:
· 2nd April- Manchester, The Elliott Campion Studios, 25 Church St. M4 1PE
· 9th April- Birmingham, DanceXchange, HippoDome Thorp Street, B5 4TB
· 16th April- London, The Factory Dance Centre, 407 Hornsey Rd, N19 4DX.
With dance programs embracing what is current and innovative in the field, Dance with a Purpose (DWP) Academy, is the biggest dance school in Ghana, led by coaches and choreographers Dancegod Lloyd and Afrobeast. They are proud creators of the following global hit dances including Sho, Agbelemi, GUDA, Adonko, No New Friends, Corner Der and Akiti Dance.

According to the DWP Camp, over 228 people in the UK, mostly students, have registered for these master classes in the three cities, just two hours after the tour was announced mid-February”, confirms Group publicist, Enoch Nylander.
He explains how this collaboration would portray the collaboration and DWP Academy’s vision, dancer / publicist:
“The collaboration with Made in Ghana UK Festival will give our fans; especially the youth in the UK, hope and a platform to help them see their dreams come true. It will help anyone who takes part to become a multifaceted and empowered artist with a unique individual talent.
According to the organisers, there are plans to visit five (5) different colleges in the UK who have invited the team to share in their talent and African Dance experience.
“As we move on our tour, we would use the platform to train interested participants and encourage the youth in the selected colleges in Manchester, Birmingham and London to be true to themselves and to follow their passion and dreams”, confirms Enoch.
Also, there will be sessions by coaches from the Ghana Dance Company managed by the National Theater of Ghana.
Before departing the UK to Ghana on April 20, 2022, the coaches will hold an audition to select the very best talent to go through a 6-week rehearsals for the opportunity to perform at the main Festival in June 2022.
