Ghana’s World Cup ambitions have been dealt a blow following the confirmation that star forward Mohammed Kudus will miss the upcoming FIFA World Cup due to injury.
The news comes as a massive setback for the Black Stars, who are drawn into a challenging group which consist of England,Croatia and Panama.
25-year-old Tottenham Hotspur attacker, has been sidelined since January 2026. While he had recently returned to individual training, fresh scans have revealed a serious hamstring relapse.
The injury is expected to keep Kudus out for at least three months, a timeline which officially ends his hopes of participating in the global showpiece, where he was expected to be the focal point of Ghana’s attack
The loss of Kudus is a big blow to the senior national football team and his club, Tottenham Hotspurs who are battling relegation in the English Premier League (EPL).
His absence leaves a significant void in the squad, with the team now forced to rethink their approach ahead of the global showpiece.
This may cause the technical team to shift towards other options.
