Hearts of Oak shot-stopper Benjamin Asare has been presented with a brand-new car by Alhaji Seidu Agongo, CEO of Class Media Group.
The gesture follows a viral video that garnered overwhelming public support for the goalkeeper. In March, Asare drew public attention after he was spotted riding in the front seat of a commercial ‘ovan’ vehicle, just days after making his debut for the Black Stars.
Grateful for the gesture, Asare expressed his appreciation.
“I thank all the supporters of Hearts of Oak and everyone. It is incredible for a lovely gesture to be extended to someone like me.”
He also paid tribute to his coach, Ouattara, and others who have played a key role in supporting his journey.
Asare has been a pivotal figure for Hearts of Oak this season, recording 15 clean sheets in 24 league appearances.
His reliability between the posts has been instrumental in solidifying the Phobians’ defence as they push for a strong finish to the campaign.
