Lawyer and one of the leaders of the Democracy Hub, Oliver Barker-Vormawor says he has never voter voted for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking in an interview on Starr Chat with Bola Ray on Thursday, Mr. Barker-Vormawor made a strong clarification that, he neither belongs to the NPP nor the NDC which has changed leadership of the nation since 1992.

“I have never belonged to any party; I have never voted for the NPP or the NDC believe me or not. I have consistently voted for the CPP not because I am an Nkrumahnist. I am more drawn to the principle that there should be a stronger third force that increases the competition and scrutiny, that is why I always vote for a smaller party and I will continue to do so.”

Mr. Barker-Vormawor said that he would continue supporting the smaller political parties and a revelation that Alan Kyeremanten, flagbearer of the Movement for Change gave him a call to be his Vice President.

On his education, Mr. Barker-Vormawor disclosed that he was 12 years old when he gained admission to Akwamuman Senior High School. From there, he was admitted to a university in Morocco by the age of sixteen.

According to him, he went there on a scholarship program under ex-president John Agyekum Kufuor. Revealing that, Kwamena Annan who is Kofi Annan’s brother was the Ghanaian ambassador in Morocco at that time.

Oliver Vormawor stated that he was always invited by Kwamena Annan to attend all diplomatic events whilst throughout his stay in Morocco.

He also revealed that he was recommended to join the legal team at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at age 22, which he did after he resigned from the Constitution Review Commission as the youngest researcher in the research team.

The activist protester further declared he was later employed at the Office of the President as a civil servant because he made it clear he did not want to be a political appointee till he resigned to further in education at Cambridge University.
