The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) is urging Ghanaians to unite in the wake of a national tragedy that claimed eight lives.
Samuel Afotey Otu, President of JUSAG, expressed his condolences and called for a collective sense of purpose, emphasizing that this period of grief should serve as a catalyst for national solidarity.
“It is sad, so sad, over this tragedy, and we send our condolences,” Otu stated, offering prayers for the families affected and for the souls of the departed.

He also extended his prayers to His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana, asking for strength as he carries out his mandate during this difficult time.
Otu acknowledged the profound grief shared by the nation, saying, “Words cannot describe our loss. We can only pray for strength and courage, so that whatever we have lost won’t be in vain.”
He went on to challenge Ghanaians to learn from this event, seeing it as an opportunity for unity rather than division.
“What can we as a country learn from this? We won’t send our belongings anywhere, so we all have to be united,” he said.

“Our differences won’t lead us anywhere. Right now, our beloveds have humbled themselves and served their nation, leaving us behind. Let’s come together and let this be a seed sown to germinate,” he said.
Mr. Afotey Otu concluded with a final plea for peace and unity in Ghana, praying that “God will allow peace to prevail in our motherland.”
The President of JUSAG was at the Ceremonial Garden with the General Secretary of JUSAG, Yakubu Abdulai, and two other members of JUSAG, Terry Martin Ayariga and Nicholas Aryee.
