President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Nairobi to participate in the Africa Forward Summit, a high-level France-Africa partnership meeting bringing together African leaders, global business executives, and international development partners.
The summit, organised by Emmanuel Macron, is focused on strengthening collaboration on sustainable development, economic resilience, and Africa’s future growth.
As part of the summit activities, President Mahama is expected to participate in a high-level discussion on Green Industrialisation and Energy Transition on Tuesday. The session will explore pathways for advancing Africa’s industrial growth while responding to the global climate crisis.
President Mahama, who also serves as the African Union Champion for African Financial Institutions, will later join a working lunch on the Reform of the International Financial Architecture.

The discussions are expected to focus on improving African countries’ access to sustainable financing and ensuring that the global financial system becomes more equitable and responsive to the continent’s development needs.
In addition to his economic engagements, the Ghanaian leader will co-chair a roundtable discussion on health under the theme, “Rethinking Global Health and Building Resilient National Health Systems,” as part of the Accra Reset Initiative.

On the sidelines of the summit, President Mahama is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with key international figures, including António Guterres, Kristalina Georgieva, and Alvaro Lario.
The meetings are expected to focus on global cooperation, economic stability, and food security in Ghana and across Africa.
President Mahama is expected to return to Accra on Tuesday evening following the summit engagements.
