Several people are feared dead and others injured following a fatal collision between a tipper truck and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter bus at the Ofankor Barrier in Accra early on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
Assistant Divisional Officer I (ADO I) Alex King Nartey of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) National Communications Team confirmed that fire service personnel are on site conducting rescue operations and managing the scene.
The GNFS have advised motorists to take precautions as the area is likely to experience heavy traffic while rescue efforts are underway.
