Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN) has announced juicy packages to gift its mobile money customers to mark 10 years of introduction of MTN Mobile Money Service also known as MTN “Momo”.
Aside the 1000 itemized prizes to be won by MTN mobile Money users, the company has purchased 10 cars to additionally reward its loyal and lucky customers .
“Mobile Money is 10 years this year and we are celebrating mobile money in grand style. This year, we are going to give out 1000 prizes between July -August to celebrate mobile money 10 years.
“This is just to say thank you to our customers. That is not all, the thousand prices do not include cars. We also going to give out 10 cars for 10 years – a car per year,” the Chief Executive of MTN Ghana, Selorm Adadevoh revealed during the annual Yello Soiree held in Koforidua for selected loyal customers of MTN in the Eastern Region on Saturday.
The CEO explained further that there is comprehensive program to also honour mobile money agents and other workers in the service supply chain with cars, motorcycles among others.
MTN Mobile Money is the fastest, simple, convenient, secure and affordable way of transferring money, making payments and doing other transactions using a mobile phone. It is dominantly used mobile money service in Ghana with over seven million subscribers out of the 14 million registered customers using MTN. The partnership with over 10 banks in the country has make it more convenient for bank transactions.
Statistics covering electronic payments from 2018 issued by the Bank of Ghana in January this year stated that value of transactions carried out on mobile money platforms for 2018 reached ¢233 billion.
