The NBC Trade Fair, Africa’s leading marketplace for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), will host its first-ever Ghana edition in Accra this October, with over 10,000 visitors and 50 exhibitors expected at the Palms Convention Center.
Founded by Nigerian entrepreneur Nelly Agbogu, widely known as NaijaBrandChick, the NBC Trade Fair has grown into one of the continent’s most dynamic platforms for SME growth and visibility. Since its inception, it has empowered more than 100,000 entrepreneurs, facilitated over $66 million in sales, and staged exhibitions across eight Nigerian cities and three international destinations.

This year’s edition in Accra, themed “Expanding African Trade Frontiers,” is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors, over 50 exhibitors, and trade delegations from at least 15 countries. Organizers say the fair will provide a unique opportunity to bridge Nigerian and Ghanaian markets, promote made-in-Africa brands to new buyers, and showcase export-ready businesses to investors.
In addition to exhibitions, the two-day event will feature business networking sessions, B2B matchmaking, and discussions aimed at strengthening participation in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Mini-seminars and masterclasses will also be held, with experts covering areas such as export readiness, branding for global markets, financial access for MSMEs, and trade policy shifts affecting African businesses.
NaijaBrandChick, who has built an online community of over one million followers, said bringing the fair to Accra reflects the city’s growing importance as a regional trade hub. “Accra is a vibrant market with strong cultural ties to the rest of the continent. This fair is about creating real connections that move African businesses forward,” she said.
The NBC Trade Fair, hosted in partnership with Wema Bank and The Palms Convention Center, has previously recorded impressive impact. Past editions have generated more than ₦30 billion in SME revenue, secured partnerships with organizations including Flex Finance and NASSI, and earned over 500 media mentions across major platforms.
With its first Ghanaian edition, NBC hopes to deepen Africa’s business integration and continue its mission of helping entrepreneurs sell more, scale faster, and go global.
