The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that the balloting to determine the positions of aspirants on the ballot paper for its upcoming presidential primary will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the party’s headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra.
In an official invitation, the party congratulated all aspirants on successfully completing the vetting process and invited them to participate in the balloting exercise scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
The invitation, issued under the directive of the Committee Chairman, urged the aspirants to confirm their participation and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to transparency and fairness in its internal electoral processes.
The exercise will determine the order in which candidates’ names will appear on the ballot paper for the presidential primary slated for January 31, 2026.
A copy of the letter was distributed to the General Secretary, Acting National Chairman, and the Chairman of the Presidential Elections Committee, as well as to the five qualified aspirants:
- Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong
- Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong
- Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong
- H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
- Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum
The Committee expressed appreciation to the aspirants for their cooperation and reiterated its readiness to ensure a smooth and credible balloting process in line with the NPP’s democratic traditions.
The presidential primaries will take place on January 31, 2026, as part of preparations for the 2028 general elections.
