A Sekondi High Court on Wednesday 5th January discharged the two Nigerian Suspects in the Takoradi kidnapped girls saga, Sam Udoetuk Wills and John Orji but were quickly re-arrested by the police and charged with murder at the Takoradi District Magistrate Court.

This was after the State Attorney, Adeliade Kobiri-Woode, entered into a nolle prosequi at the Sekondi high Court to discontinue their initial trial of the two accused

The State Attorney Kobiri-Woode explaining her plea for dropping the initial charge of kidnapping said they have finally received the documents they were expecting from the police which calls for a new charge to be preferred.

She stated that her outfit has now received all the necessary documentation they were waiting from the police administration

The Police Prosecutor, Chief Inspector Bernard Paa Ahinsan told the Takoradi court Presided over by His worship Michael Ampadu that suspect Sam Udoetuk couldn’t come to court since he was still serving his eighteen-month prison sentencing for his unlawful escaping from police cell and destruction of public property.

Chief inspector Ahinsan further pleaded with the court to remand the accused John Orji for the police to continue with further investigation to enable them to commence committal processes in two-weeks.

His worship Michael Ampadu subsequently granted Mr Ahinsan’s request and remanded the accused John Orji in Prison custody to reappear on 13th of February.

Meanwhile, counsel for the four families whose relatives have been kidnapped, Nana Abakah is appealing to the families to exercise caution and patience since the wheel of justice grinds slowly.
