Residents of Adum Banso in the Mpohor District of the Western region have given government a 21-day ultimatum to fix their deplorable roads or incur their wrath.
They are also demanding an apology from the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for what they describe as snubbing their traditional leaders when the president visited Mpohor some three weeks ago.
The residents together with traditional leaders also want the name of the district to be changed from Mpohor to Mpohor Wassa Fiase District.
Led by six traditional leaders from adjourning towns, residents of Adum Banso numbering about five hundred took to the streets to pour out their grievances.
The road from Mpohor to Adum Banso is less than 10 kilometers with deep potholes.
According the residents the road becomes impassable when it rains hence foodstuff and school children get stuck and unable to continue their journey.
Spokesperson for the community said they will not tolerate any lip service from government anymore.
Maame Ekua, a 7-week-old pregnant woman told Starr News that she almost missed her medical review last week because the road had become immotorable after it rained.
