The EIB Network has been named the official media partner for Ghanaian chef and culinary content creator Abena Amoakoa Sintim-Aboagye, popularly known as Chef Abbys, as she embarks on her six-country West Africa Food Tour.
The tour officially begins on Thursday, August 20, 2026, and will take Chef Abbys through Nigeria, Liberia, Togo, Senegal, Cape Verde and Côte d’Ivoire as she explores the region’s diverse culinary traditions and food cultures.
The multi-country culinary project is designed to spotlight the richness of West African cuisine, promote the preservation of indigenous food traditions and showcase the region’s culinary heritage to a global audience.
As the official media partner, the EIB Network will provide coverage and amplify the tour across its media platforms, bringing audiences closer to Chef Abbys’ culinary experiences and engagements across the participating countries.

Chef Abbys, born Abena Amoakoa Sintim-Aboagye, is a Ghanaian chef, food creator and advocate for African cuisine.
She has built a significant following through digital content that combines recipes with stories about African food, culture and heritage. Her work has earned her international recognition, including a place on TIME’s 100 Most Influential Creators list for 2025. She was also recognised at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, further highlighting her growing influence in the global culinary and creative space.
Chef Abbys is also the founder of Chefabbys School of Food (CASOF) and the creator of The Big Street Feast, initiatives through which she uses food as a tool for cultural education, community and social impact.
Her culinary journey has seen her prepare dishes from more than 26 African countries, while her broader mission is to educate audiences about African food and demonstrate the cultural stories behind the continent’s cuisine.

The West Africa Food Tour follows Chef Abbys’ successful food tours and international engagements, including her Ghana Heritage Month Food Tour and a UK Food Tour in May 2026, where she staged dining experiences, masterclasses and collaborations aimed at showcasing Ghanaian cuisine to international audiences.
The new West African tour shifts the focus from showcasing Ghanaian cuisine alone to exploring the broader culinary identity of the sub-region, creating opportunities for cultural exchange and collaboration among food communities across the six countries.
The partnership with EIB Network is expected to extend the reach of these experiences to audiences in Ghana and beyond, documenting Chef Abbys’ culinary journey as she connects with local food cultures across West Africa.

The tour comes at a time when African cuisine is receiving increasing global attention, with chefs and food creators playing a growing role in telling the continent’s stories through food, culture and digital media.
