A seven-member delegation from the Ministry of Health has stormed the Tepa Nursing and Midwifery Training College to probe claims of fraud leveled against the Principal and the accountant of the institution.
The Principal of the college in the Ahafo Ano North of the Ashanti region, Ms. Victoria Amoah and the accountant Asamoah Richard have been involved in an alleged massive GHȻ9, 247,800 admission fraud.
The two administrative members allegedly used fake receipts and invoices to milk the government institution during every admission year.
The alleged corrupt practice began in 2011 two years after the college was established. A deep throat source within the management of the school and a teaching staff confirmed the corrupt practices of the two administrators with documents to back their claims.
Attempts by the Police to quiz the principal proved futile after Ms. Amoah failed to honour several invitations by the Police.
According to reports gathered by Starrfmonline.com, the delegation met with students and staff of the institution to ascertain the veracity of the claims reported in the media.
The seven-member delegation will also meet the principal of the college as the probe into the fraud allegations continue.
