President elect, Nana Akufo-Addo, has called for the reinstatement of the three suspended executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ohene Ntow, the party’s former General Secretary has revealed.
The NPP last year suspended indefinitely its elected national chairman, Paul Afoko, General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong, and First Vice Chairman, Sammy Crabbe for engaging in acts it said could be detrimental to its electoral fortunes.
But speaking in an interview with Joy News, Mr. Ntow disclosed that Akufo-Addo wants the matter resolved immediately to pave the way for them [the suspended three] to reoccupy their positions.
“We have had our very first joint National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Council meeting and he [Akufo-Addo] emphasized that that matter is presently going to be handled,” he said.
He added that he was excited by Akufo-Addo’s show of preparedness to end the infighting and bickering in the party.
“He has given an indication that NEC and National Council have taken a cue and will deal with the matter sooner or later,” he said.
