The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced the programme and voter identification requirements for its national officers elections scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026.
According to a notice issued by the National Officers Elections Committee (NOEC) on September 30, constitutional amendments will begin at 9:00 a.m., while the election of national officers is expected to start at 12:00 p.m.
“Constitutional Amendments will commence at exactly 9:00 a.m.” the notice stated, adding that the “Election of National Officers is expected to commence at 12:00 p.m.”
Voting will take place at 31 polling stations for nine positions, including National Chairman, Vice Chairman, General Secretary, National Organiser, National Women’s Organiser and National Youth Organiser.
The other positions are National Nasara Organiser, National Treasurer and National Communications Director.
The Electoral Commission (EC) will conduct the elections and verify delegates. To vote, delegates must be on the delegates’ register and present a Voter ID card, Ghana Card or NPP party card.
“The Electoral Commission (EC) will conduct the elections and verify every voter,” the notice said.
The notice, signed by NOEC Chairman Frederick Opare-Ansah, urged party officers to ensure delegates are informed about the requirements.
The October 3 conference forms part of the NPP’s process to elect its national leadership and consider proposed constitutional amendments.
